A Farewell to Our Own and a Call on Our community

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the departure of two of our beloved friends and band members; Harrison and John. Both Harrison and John are leaving to pursue different opportunities and we want to express the upmost gratitude for our boys. No, shows won’t be the same anymore without these two, but we know they are bound to do great things without us. We can’t deny that these were some of the best times we had, but unfortunately it’s time for that to come to an end. All good things have to come to an end and our buddies will always have a huge role in the TasteBud family.

TasteBud is calling on the community for support, we are looking for people with a solid music background and people who can work efficiently in a team setting, particularly a drummer and keyboardist. Auditions can be scheduled daily for anyone with a creative, artistic mind and a heavy passion for jam music. We are really looking for driven individuals who want to be successful in music.  Please pass this information along to anyone who would be a good fit for TasteBud as we are always looking connect with new musicians. If you or someone you know is interested please inquire on our Facebook page, you are more than welcome to shoot us over a direct message, or give us a call.

We’ve got a lot of upcoming music for your listening pleasure we have a plethora of upcoming November and December shows. Some at new places and a lot at venues we’ve grown to love so much. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces and some new ones too.

TasteBud Announces October Brewery Mini Tour

Screen Shot 2017-10-03 at 12.16.40 PM.png
Its that time of year once again. The nostalgic smell of fall is in the air and we couldn’t be any more excited for a JAM-packed October. With the unbearable heat of Georgia’s summer finally starting to lighten up, you can’t help but feel a welcoming gratitude toward this beautiful weather that we’ve all seemed to forget since last season. October always seems like that transition month, where you can FINALLY feel it start to cool down, unlike September which is a constant tease of cooler days followed by blistering hot days. Yea sure, pumpkin spiced latte’s are a great way to bring out your inner fall (if you’re basic), but for us cooler temps bring to mind seasonal beers, crunchy tunes, and nights by the fire pit! We at TasteBud realize that our super crunchy fans not only have superior taste in music, but excellent taste in beer as well. It’s no surprise that the same people who love our music also love Atlanta’s beautiful beer scene. This month we’ve decided to put together a tour that encompasses all aspects of fall and chosen to profile some of the best breweries we know. We Call it The October Brewery Mini Tour.

TasteBud kicks off their first of three brewery performances on Saturday the Seventh, at Second Self Brewery. This Saturday will prove to be truly epic as we help Second Self put on their three-year anniversary party. Second self is a newer brewery located in Atlanta and has been gaining some serious popularity in the Atlanta Area! TasteBud will perform from 12pm-5pm and will be enjoying some of the good vibes and great beer they are laying down over there at Second Self. This event will be kicked off with live music from TasteBud, food trucks, photo booths, and much more activities. The following Saturday lays the stage for TasteBud’s second October brewery appearance at Red Hare Brewery’s Oktoberfest party. Located in Marietta, Red Hare is a very popular local brewery that is known for its events! The Oktoberfest party is a huge hit every year and we are excited to be on board this year! TasteBud’s set will be from 1pm-5pm with a set break in the middle and the event will go until 9pm. TasteBud’s final brewery tour date will be held on the 28th at Dry County Brewery right here in Kennesaw for their Halloween party. TasteBud is helping Dry County with their Halloween Party by performing a set from 6pm-9pm and will also feature a costume competition. Everyone is encouraged to dress up because we want to see everyone involved! This even will be accompanied by other spooky events, great food, and delicious beer.

We hope we can expect to see everyone out at our brewery shows this October. Be sure to mark your calendars this month for great music and great vibes!

TasteBud Studio Album Available Now!

The anticipation is over and it’s even sweeter than we could have thought. Thanks to our loving fan base and growing support from the community, we are happy to announce that our new studio album is out for your listening pleasure! After putting in countless hours in the studio and practice as well, we’ve put together, what we think is our best project yet. The new album features eight of our best songs that total out to just over an hour of the crunchiest jams that we could fit on one album. Perhaps accepting the most appreciation, “Spin” the first song of the album is catching some heat amongst our fans because it has a noticeably soft rhythm accompanied by heavy jam breakdowns that leave you picking your face up off the floor. The album is available for purchase on most streaming websites including iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, SoundClound, and Google Play. Although the album, is for sale, we still want our fans to be able to listen and download our songs for free. We’ve added a streaming feature to our website, as well as created a SoundCloud account, so everyone can have a chance to listen no matter what their financial situation is.

Accompanied by the premier of our new song, we’ve made some serious changes to our website to help smooth out traffic and get our fans to the jams quicker! On the home page, you can now find the complete album and links to all purchasing/listening sites, without having to click away. Additionally, we’ve made some changes to our tour dates, we’ve added some events (woo-hoo!) and also changed some dates around, so make sure to take a look at those! Aside from some super new and cool design changes, nothing too major has really changed the site. Our contact page is still functioning properly and we would like to hear what you guys think about our new album, any feedback would be appreciated! So take some time to listen to the album whether it’s on the site, or one of our many streaming service. After all, everything we do is for our fans, the album is for our fans and we appreciate you guys so much!

Be sure to come out this Friday, the 22nd to Sweetwater Bar and Grill to kick off our fall tour! Be sure to put our October 7th performance at Second Self Brewery’s three year anniversary party on your calendar. Also, make sure to keep up with our calendar as we are adding events weekly!

Tastebud is particularly excited for playing at Smith’s Olde Bar on December 2nd. Located in the Ansley Park Neighborhood in midtown, this bar is an iconic landmark when it comes to Atlanta music history. We are beyond excited to play on the same stage that Wide Spread Panic, My Morning Jacket, David Bowie, and John Mayer all played on. (Just to name a few) Although we’ve also played in the downstairs bar room, this will be TasteBud’s second appearance in the Atlanta room and we don’t know how our fans will be able to top their turnout from our first time on this stage. TasteBud’s first appearance in the Atlanta Room was a great one, which ended in a floor shaking chant from the crowd shouting, “Encore!” We expect the turnout to be even bigger this time! Our goal at any show we play is to show up with energy and provide the best possible medium for people to kick back and enjoy our positive message of Jam rock. So don’t miss out on our Smith’s show this December and visit our contact page for any information, questions, or booking inquiries. We are beyond excited to connect with the community this fall!

TasteBud Website Goes Live.

Thanks to overwhelming support from the community, we are happy to say TasteBud is growing! With all this new growth our Facebook page just isn’t enough to handle all of the traffic.  Through a lot of brainstorming sessions and a lot of time designing, we are proud to say we up and live at www.tastebudband.com!

This hub will be our main channel for displaying general info, show dates, media, news, and most importantly new music. Our website is a great way to keep up to date with us, as well as just a great place to enjoy some crunchy tunes. One of the most beneficial features of the website is the contact page. This page is a new resource for connecting with fans so we can hear any comments, recommendations, or even shout outs. Additionally, this contact page acts as an outlet for people to book gigs/schedule events, and it’s easier than ever before.  If you’re feeling like showing some love stop by our comment pager and show some love! The other feature of the website we are most excited about is our news page. This page is a way for us to communicate with fans and get the right information out there. This could be info on events, merchandise, post-show articles, and new music! Check out the music page today for some of the crunchiest tunes.

Many thanks go out to our family and friends for making this happen. TasteBud has gained some serious traction and is only growing! Come be part of our experience.
